花影．望月

試譯七絕七律各一，每句七音節：

重重疊疊上瑤臺，幾度呼童掃不開。剛被太陽收拾去，卻教明月送將來。

Shadows of Flowers

What are those up the terrace
Sweeping could not make any less,
Finally cleared by the sun,
Yet back with the moon at once?

〈望月有感〉白居易
時難年荒世業空，弟兄羈旅各西東。田園寥落干戈後，骨肉流離道路中。
弔影分為千里雁，辭根散作九秋蓬。共看明月應垂淚，一夜鄉心五處同。

Musing at the Moon

Hard times, wasted lives, apart
My family east and west,
Home desolate in war, my
Siblings all have gone to drift.

Lone shadows, long uprooted,
By thousands of miles scattered,
Tonight cast under the same
Bright moon must all have tears shed.
